Ok everyone…….. First off thank youall for continuing to log on to BoyzIIMen.com. I know it's been tough herelately as our calendar has become extremely crazy, so we wanted to thank youall for hanging in there with us.
We've been looking around the site and noticed manydifferent issues you guys seam to have with members of the group, some groupevents, and even management. So I wanted to jump in and try to clear up a fewthings regarding these issues.
We were informed that some of you felt "used by thegroup". It was said that you were used in order to get the new site up andrunning, and once it was up there was no more information passed and weabandoned the site and the fans there. First I want to address the part aboutbeing used. There has and will never be a time when we as, Boyz II Men use ourfans negatively. We are really not sure how we could have created this type offeeling among some of our fans, and if some people feel that way we are sorry.For the record the NEW Boyz II Men site was going to be put in place regardlessof any other outside forces. Our previous site was antiquated, non-productive,and nothing close to what was needed to represent the group and what we standfor. We’ve spent too much time and money to create this site to just abandonit. We thank everyone for their input on the new site, and as you can see wetried to incorporate as many of the fan’s ideas as possible.
Iwill now take a second to represent myself and not my group, so if anyone isoffended by the next few paragraphs, feel free to take it out on me, as you allknow I don't and will never hold my tongue.
First off…. As far as abandoning the site, Iwill be the first to say that from the minute the site went up I was HERErepresenting my group. Every second that I could be here I was here. I wasextremely excited that everyone showed up and supported the site. So much sothat I personally wanted to be involved with the fans here, so I started makingup things to do on the site like, " taking fans out to dinner". Itried it once, and it when over pretty well. So I talked to the guys about itand we were looking forward to trying some other things. Contrary to popularbelief, the three guys whose records you listen to a concerts you come to see actuallyhave lives. We work just like you, we have families just like you and we havegood days and bad days just like you. So we would hope that “just as people”you would understand and respect that.
Iwill agree with everyone in saying that I have been away from the site forquite a bit now, and the only reason is. ……lack of TIME. I read that somepeople felt that I was running from addressing the cruise issue…I would likeyou all to understand ME first and foremost, there is, and never will be anissue in the world that will ever cause me to runaway from it. The cruise“issue” is only an “issue” to those who have chosen to make it that. It is anevent plain and simple, and if you can go, we would love to have you, and ifyou can’t go, we still would love to have you. It is an event that may not beaffordable to all but there is nothing wrong with that. I’m sure there arecertain clothing brands one may wear that they just can’t live without, but ifthat brand comes out with a limited edition item that you can’t afford, is thatnow an issue? I’m sure you all know that we have talked about trying to createsome other events for the 20th Anniversary, this just happens to bethe 1st one, and we put it on sale a year in advance just to try andease the blow. But again, if you can’t make it we understand, no one is goingto “stone” you because you are not there. Other then not having time to get onthe site, I was not going to try and combat a lot of the negative energy we weregetting for the cruise. This is not the place for it. We respect what everyonehas to say which is the reason none of the negative comments were deleted fromthe site.
AgainI really do have a life outside of Boyz II Men. It would have been very easyfor us to hire a staff and have them reply to you're questions everyday posingas the group, but one it's dishonest, and two we know that that is not whyeveryone is here. So we tried to keep the site as personable as possible, butit seams that this approach is not feasible so we’ll have to come up withsomething else.
Inthe meantime we have more important fish to fry. Considering we don’t even havea record label willing to support the 20th Anniversary Album rightnow, there really is nothing else to focus on other then that. So again, if youare not happy with the way I felt I needed to express MYSELF here then I’msorry about that, but I only know one way to express myself, and that is straightand to the point.

The guys really want to make it absolutely clear that theysupport this site just as much as I do. The fact that they have not been on asmuch as some would like is not a testament to them not caring. There was a timewhen we were available to everyone all of the time. That was the time when wewere complaining that the industry didn’t care about the group and we couldn’tget much work. Now, by the grace of God we are working more them many of the “relevant”artist in the business right now. So we would hope that our fans wouldunderstand why we might not always be available here on the site.
Ourmanager is by far one of the best in the business, so some of the commentsdirected towards him were not needed. I’m sure you guys have looked at the tourcalendar and can see that there is not much time for us to do anything…… and ifhe didn’t keep us working there would be no Boyz II Men……..and that is a goodproblem to have in this business.
I cansay that we will do our best to be around more because there really is noreason to have a site if we can’t. But again we still expect everyone tounderstand that we may not always be here when you need us to. In closing Ireally hope that some people can learn to keep the negative chatter on the siteto a minimum, not that we don’t want people to express their opinions, but thatwe do have children who read this stuff, and it’s not fun to have you kids cometo your site and hear this.

Alpine, California concert 07/09/10
Hello, The Boyz II Men music is amazing. I truly wish I could attend the cruise but unfortunately it is not affordable at this point in time. Last night I attended the concert in Alpine, California. This was the third concert of Boyz II Men that I had attended. I was a little disappointed, there didn't seem to be the same vibe as usual, You guys didn't seem as happy. I recently lost two dear friends to me within three weeks and had attended the concert to hopefully lift my spirits. I even decided to pay for the Meet and Greet after the concert and was disappointed when you guys didn't seem that happy at that either. I know you are people with lives and your own issues, but I would ask that when your fans are paying extra money for time to meet you that maybe you pretend to be happy even if you aren't. As you guys mentioned in the concert last night, financially many are struggling and as your fans we do the best we can to support you....but we also like to feel appreciated. Thank you for your time. Of course I will remain a dedicated fan ;)

I just joined the site and have been a fan since CooleyHighHarmony. I wore that cassette out, then I wore the CD out. I love the old songs, and some of the new ones. I was fortunate to see you (partly) in Albany,NY at the Alive At 5 concert -though it was so crowded, and I am short, I did not see too much through the trees and taller folks. Nonetheless, I stayed the entire time and enjoyed listening to "real music" from "musicians". Even though I was a little upset that I could not see, I am glad I came and would do it all over again. Hopefully I will be able to see you guys under better conditions. You guys sounded great. I will definitely buy a 20th anniversary album. God Bless you and your families. I have to say that God has been dealing with my heart! Going forward, I have nothing negative to say. I have children and it would hurt me terribly if they were exposed to any degree of maliciousness regarding me or those close to me. Furthermore, I (we as people) don't have the right to hurt people who have not hurt us personally; especially when they are just speaking their minds. By far you guys are some of the hardest working people in the business. Thank you for having integrity and expressing it in the many ways that God has allowed you to. As far as the cruise goes, I think that most people are expressing their frustration about not being able to afford it, so much so that it probably hurts them more than angers them. That actually should be considered a testament to the impact you have (and had) on their lives. I think it's more than "groupie love" or crazed, obsessive, stalker-like fans. Many of your fans grew up with your music and they feel like they want to continue walking this walk with you. That's it, that's all. Thank you for your strength, your courage, and your persistence. As far as no support from the record lables for a 20-year anniversary CD, that is asinine. When you pull this project off and it spreads like wildfire, they'll come back with their heads tucked....They will wish they had backed you all along. Keep sticking to your guns!

There's nothing wrong with speaking your mind. It's unfortunate that some people live to hate on anything and anyone. But I don't know Nate, I think you guys may have more people that love you than hate on you. Personally, I look at you as a human being first and foremost, then recording artist. When I get a chance to see the youtube videos, although I am happy to follow along. My heart just goes out to you guys when I can see that you are tired and sleep deprived. Except for Shawn, dude should really reach out to Energizer batteries about being the next spokesperson. Now, let's talk about this no one wants to put out your 20yr CD. Now we have a real problem! Tell me who do I call, write, and fax. Do we need to start a petition? Do we need to March? Do I need to write Oprah because this sounds like a hot topic to me. Let her get these people on live TV and answer to us the fans. And she doesn't like Rap sounds like an allie to me.) Do we need to do presentations? I know that it is all about BIIM but what if you change the presentation by suggesting they do a series of new releases of CD's of veteran groups like Dru Hill, H-town, Jagged Edge, etc. in the same year at different releases. It would be the Return of R & B, but in a big enough way to make an impact to get their attention. Especially, if you can rally up some forced to retire artist before approaching whoever these "people" ( I want to call them something else but I am Lady) who are calling the shots. I can even picture a month long series with every group doing live concerts on HBO. That's just what pops into my head. Peace! Lynett

I agree with u 100% and I have an idea that I think would serve the fans and boyzIImen well, I think u guys should do a slow cut cd all original material but im talkin the baddest slow cut cd ever. It makes since thats the reason most people fell in love with u guys, not that the fast music isnt good also but your slow cuts cant be beat period. Im talkin a cd in which u can just press play and no matter where its playin its a love making song. Think about it Maxwell just came back and hit the scene with a three cd project called Black Summers Night. Blacksummernight (dark but nice cd)was released 2009, blackSummernight 2nd release(gospel type of cd)supposedly released 2010, and lastly blacksummerNight (slow cut cd) this is the one mostpeople cant wait to get so Y NOT BOYIIMEN !!!!!

I went to see Boys II Men last night at nottingham, they were amazing and id go again a thousand times, i wasnt very happy cos i didnt get a rose tho lol and i didnt the last time i went either!! I brought a vip pass to meet and greet after the show and i was starstruck lol i made sure i was first in the queue!! Amazing performance guys!! cant wait till next time!!

First and for most I would like to just start off by saying I apologize for any ill welled feelings that was expressed towards the group or anyone associated with the Boyz II Men name & brand. Many times we as fans forget that you are only human and you do have lives beyond making music and making us as fans "HAPPY". I do apperciate the fact that you don't have interns or staff answering our questions or concerns because in fact it would not be genuine and in return we as fan we be cheated. So I just want to thank you for always keeping it 100% with us be it good or bad. Like the song says "Can you stand the rain?" I mean it's raining right now so you can either dance in it and be happy or run for cover and miss out on all the fun. Yes alot of us including myself are unable to go on the cruise but that's life... Like we tell our children ( at least for those who have any...) you can't always get what you want... Let's just look forward to celebrating 20 years of the best music & music group ever assembled on earth... Hey guys, was at Edinburgh Picturehouse on saturday there for your concert. Travelled from Glasgow and it was sooooooooo worth it! I'm only 18 but I actually love your music and the way you communicate through it. How you talk to your fans and hold them so dear is amazing! Nobody else is like you, musician-wise and as people. I am very excited about the 20th anniversary album and with all the real R&B artists coming back soon, i see a bright future for R&B and its about time lol. You do more than most for us
As a fan of RnB, Soul and Motown a lot of acts that I love are from america and seem to think the UK is just London however Boyz II Men make the effort and perform in my hometown of Manchester. I would rather have and act that make music and tour than sit at a pc and chat. Without Albums and tours they would be men at computers not a group and would therefore have nothing to write and tell us about. The cruise is a lovely idea and as prices go I think the lads do their best. Their merchandise at gigs, meet and greet prices, ticket prices etc are very good compared to others.A meet and greet with people like beyonce cost stupid amounts of money so personaly I am very thankful to Nathan, Shawn and Wanya. They are real artists with a real love for what they do and their fans.

I admire your patience and steel in trying to reach out even to the negative, nasty people, in such a direct but positive way--really special qualities to have and I'm sure they have and will continue to serve you well. Nate, I'm glad you were able to get that off your chest. I'm a huge fan of the group and I don't even come here everyday. The selfish side of me wishes to get more updates but in reality that may not be possible. I know you guys have lives outside of the group and I appreciate the time you do spend here. I doubt any other "celebrity" personally manages their pages. I will say that I really do miss Shawn's tweets and facebook updates but it is what it is. As long as I can expect to see you at a show nearby, I'm good. The truth of the matter is that no matter how much we love you as a group and as much as you guys love us as fans we aren't really "friends" so we can't expect to be kept abreast of your every breath. Keep doing what you are doing! I love you guys regardless.

There was a time when I NEVER knew what Boyz II Men were up to. One of my biggest regrets was missing out on a charity event in LA (about 5-6 years ago) that my cousin went to. She met you all and Shawn was nice enough to talk to me on the phone. He asked why I wasn't at the event- and my response was I didn't know they would be there. I asked him about updating the web site to let fans know so we could show our support. Had I known about the event, nothing would have stopped me from going. As far as I'm concerned, this web site and the youtube channel are a huge improvement in comparison to years past. I am so grateful for your communication with your fans and even more grateful that you are as busy as you are! It only means more performances, music...etc. for us fans---and really isn't that the reason we're here in the first place?

Well I'm not one to hold my tongue either as all of ya'll can see from my posts. I've chatted with some of the other fans on here about some of the crazy comments that are on here. So there's really no need for me to tell ya'll what comments I agree with. Personally I think Nate said in a better way than I would have cause this country girl would've been a little more harsh, but that's just me when I'm having a bad day. Hope all is well with everyone esp everyone with finals and stuff. I remember how that was and hopefully in two years I'll be studying for finals for my master's! And on another personal note just in case the oh so sexy Mr. Morris reads this please tell Shawn to keep that camera more focused on you on youtube, cause the way you looked in that white polo and jeans, whatever you doing keep doing it! Thanks for taking the time to set the record straight about the last several months. It's good to know the site won't be abandoned like the previous ones and that you all do intend to reappear when time permits. I also want to thank Joe for keeping you guys busy! As for the cruise, I've said my piece, you've said yours, and people are going to run around in circles about it. But I do hope you guys keep the conversation going about the possibility of doing other 20th Anniversary events. I also think Alexis and Lisa made good points below. And most of us know you guys aren't Boyz II Men 24/7. You three are individuals too. You have families, lives, and interests outside of the group. You in particular have a whole host of responsibilities on your plate. And I don't think anybody really wants a Nathan Morris or a Shawn Stockman or a Wanya Morris who's nothing but BIIM 24/7. It would make you guys totally boring and uninteresting! We like being able to see the different sides of you that you're willing to share with the fans whether it's in concert or on BIIMTV or on this site. It's the individuality of each of you that makes the group whole. So stay sane, stay safe, and keep us posted (when you can). The fans will be here. Enjoy the rest of your European tour!

Many of us were upset because we thought not being able to afford the cruise meant not being able to participate in celebrating the 20th. Nate Thank You for addressing all the issues that have been floating around on here for a long while. I thank you from the bottom of my heart on behalf of all the true and loyal fan family that have been on here from the beginning. Your feelings and comments from the group were very nicely put. "Ain't a thang wrong with having" your feelings expressed- afterall us fans do it-. "Leave the {talk} behind cause it's party time," Nate {BIIM} is back and doing just fine. I also want to add that I personally was having trouble visiting the site daily as I was normally {back in Sept.-Mar.} due to some of the things that were being said and that just did not seem "liked" by me. I hope for nothing but the best for my favorite group and for this site. I do not know much about the other site that was. I was part of it but did not know that there was any contact between fans. I am so glad that this site excists and YES another thing I THANK YOU FOR BEING TRUE TO BIIM AND TO YOURSELF and telling how it is and also for not sneaking in someone else to do all of the replying! I am so glad to see you back on here and hope that the fans I have made friends with- will once again be seen on here. This site is truely UNIQUE and is what ATTRACTs true fans.

Please Don't Take Them For Granted
Every day each of us has been guilty of thinking that the people we hold closest to our hearts are supposed to be there whenever we need them. Whether it's Mom, Dad, Grandma,your best friend, or even Boyz II Men, we think that whatever they bring to our lives should be readily available at a moment's notice-and that is not true. What if Boyz II Men decided tomorrow to put down the microphones and stop singing? What would you do? How would you feel if the excitement of waiting for their world tour to roll through your town all of a sudden came to a screeching halt, and you could no longer interact with them up close and personal? What would your life be like if Nate,Shawn and Wanya no longer wanted to write the music that touches your heart or inspires your life? After 20 of the greatest years in the music business, they would have every right to just hang it up, go their separate ways and leave out on the high note. But as they have repeatedly stated over the years, they do this not for themselves, but for the fans who have been with them from day one. Loyalty means everything to them and it shows in the quality of their work and the tireless efforts they make to stay connected to you-the people who buy the records and sell out the concerts all over the world. To the fans who know all of the words to every song they have ever written-they do this for you. As they have so eloquently stated above, we have to remember that they are human beings and they have lives outside of their work. I'm sure that you enjoy unplugging and getting away from your respective careers or jobs whenever possible-SO DO THEY. These gentlemen have to balance families, friendships and other outside interests just like you and it is unfair for anyone to expect them to spend an exorbitant amount of time on the web when they are constantly traveling or doing PR to promote their work. I think that the whole idea of a website like this is so that WE the fans could have a way to stay connected to them and their music. But it should also be a place that WE the FANS can connect with each other and share in this our common interest. Websites are only as strong as it's membership, so WE have a responsibility to keep this thing going when they are on the road. When they check-in, we can share in their excitement or whatever it is that they want to say, and when it's over, we can turn off the computer and get back to our lives. This 20 year relationship is a two-way street and you have to respect them enough to understand that they can't be your everything all of the time. With respect to the cruise. Everyone acknowledges that the recession has hit this country pretty hard and we are all holding on to our wallets a little tighter. Regardless, cruise fares will never change and that is why planning one year in advance gives anyone who wants to go the opportunity to adjust their budget accordingly. The reality is even with the advance notice, many of us will still not be able to go and IT'S OKAY. To take it out on Boyz II Men, who show nothing but love and appreciation for their fans, is disrespectful and unnecessary. Moving forward, there needs to be a change in attitude. We have become so accustomed to having everything at our disposal that in a sense, we have developed these hostile attitudes when we don't get our way and it is counterproductive. We have to learn to appreciate people for who they are and for what they add to our lives. We must also respect their personal boundaries. It was their decision to share their God-given talents with the world. But they do not belong to us. And we have to remember that. Lastly, I understand that sometimes we get frustrated when we think that we are being ignored. But this forum is not the place to air your frustrations. We are all about love and support here for one of the greatest musical entities on earth, so if you have something bad to say-KEEP IT TO YOURSELF. Respect the men who have given you so much for 20 years! How many of us can say that we have made this kind of contribution to the world? Nate, Shawn, Wanya, you guys mean more to me than words could ever express. I have grown up with you and I appreciate and celebrate your contributions to the music industry and to our world. Nate, I am sorry that people have said things that came out negative. We all know that you guys are on tour and have families of your own. Keep up the great work because most of us do understand and will always support you guys in everything you do. As for the cruise, you did give plenty of time for people to save and make payments because that is what I am doing just to get on this cruise and enjoy Boyz II Men!
